Wildway Cantabria
Where mountains meet the sky
Located in San Roque de Riomiera, 25 minutes from the historic village of Liérganes and 40 minutes from the Cantabrian coast.
Opening late 2026.
A landscape shaped by time.
Our first stay, Wildway Cantabria, sits among the rolling green hills of Valles Pasiegos.
These six historic stone cabins (cabañas pasiegas), originally built for local cowherders in the early 1900s, have been carefully restored to offer modern comfort while keeping their character intact — thick stone walls, timber beams, and sweeping views of the valley.
Each cabin is from 80-100 square meters and has multiple bedrooms and baths, and warm shared spaces — plenty of room to unwind after a day outside. Cabins include a fireplace, full kitchen, work stations, washer/dryer, and all the comforts needed to extend your stay in nature. Furthermore, outdoor amenities such as a playground, outdoor bath, gazebo and barrel sauna are in the works for future stays.
Moments in motion and at rest.
Days here unfold slowly — hiking nearby trails, cycling through the green valleys, or stargazing under skies untouched by city light. Within a short drive you’ll find the surf town of Somo, the Cabárceno Nature Park, and the medieval streets of Liérganes — perfect for a day of exploring before heading back to the quiet of the valley.
Built with nature in mind.
Each cabin is being restored with respect for the land and the traditions of the valley.
Local architecture guides every decision — we’re keeping what belongs, and adding only what enhances comfort and longevity.
Simple materials, thoughtful details, and a light touch ensure that Wildway Cantabria feels part of its surroundings — a place made to last, and to belong.
